James Wardlaw joined Campbell Lutyens in 2011 to take responsibility for the firm's infrastructure practice. He was previously a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. Prior to this, he worked as an HM Treasury official where he was responsible for the financing strategy for a number of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. Prior to that, James worked for 23 years as a financing banker. James co-authored with Professor Dieter Helm, a paper for the Policy Exchange called “Delivering a 21st Century Infrastructure for Britain”, published in September 2009.  James is on the panel of expert advisors to the UK Regulators Network, recently formed by all the economic regulators in the UK. James is also a non-executive Board member, and chair of the Treasury Committee of the Notting Hill Housing Group, one of the largest developers and providers of affordable housing in London.
