James joined Campbell Lutyens in 2011 with responsibility for the firm’s infrastructure practice and has been instrumental in building the practice over the last eight years.
His present role is focused on advising the firm’s clients, including fund managers and institutional investors, on infrastructure strategy globally. James has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and the infrastructure sector.
He was previously a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. Prior to this, he worked as an HM Treasury official, where he was responsible for the financing strategy for a number of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. In total, James worked for 23 years as a financing banker.
He is also on the panel of expert advisors to the UK Regulators Network, recently formed by all the economic regulators in the UK.
