€700 million portfolio secondary strip sale with primary staple
Campbell Lutyens is pleased to have advised Eurazeo on the final closing of the €2.5 billion Eurazeo Capital IV investment program.

Eurazeo Capital IV invests capital from its balance sheet as well as from a private fund, with the latter structured through a secondary strip sale of a portfolio of five buyout assets across the US (Trader Interactive, Worldstrides) and Europe (Iberchem, Albingia and DORC) alongside stapled blind pool primary capital.

The transaction which established the private fund was led by Lexington Partners and raised c. €700 million of third-party capital, close to 40% more than the predecessor Eurazeo Capital III. Following the secondary process to select a lead investor, the opportunity was syndicated to a number of investors globally, including asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, pension funds and family offices.

Campbell Lutyens acted as the exclusive financial advisor on the secondary strip sale and global syndication.
